Cinema Residence

The residence, directed by João Paulo Macedo will consist in seminars with different creators (Edgar Pêra, Rodrigo Areias, Eduardo Brito, Pedro Bastos, M.F. Costa e Silva), periods of shooting and discussion of the co-criation outcomes to be presented at the end of the project.

Lyriqas project

Lyriqas is a project that seeks to study, explore in praxis and share within the contemporary tradition through new performative and artistic means of expression common links in classical European culture through the medieval texts, focusing on the Galician-Portuguese lirica.

Through shared residencies new creative products will be developed with the objective to engage new audiences and enhance the dissemination of our common culture.

Cinema residence
The Audiovisual Residence will take place in two different moments, with the same 9 participants (3 per country) and will be focused in the collective creation of audiovisual materials related with the project thematic. The participants, originally from Galiza, Greece, and Portugal will be guided through the co-creation of different audiovisual materials.

a) Residence I
The first residency of audiovisual creation will be focused on classical texts and music as source of inspiration, the deliverables of this residency will be part of the project’s outcome and integrated in the co-creation process with the other disciplines.

b) Residence II
In the second residency all participants from the different disciplines (27) will be able to work together, share and co-create original pieces.
Travel, accommodation and subsistence costs will be covered by the project.

Working methodology
● The residency will consist in a 2 days seminar leaded by the coordinator and invited mentor(s)
● Pre-production and project development
● Collaborative creation and creative writing.
● Production of audiovisual materials
● Editing and post-production

Participants’ profile
– Students, at the final level of undergraduate studies and/or postgraduate students of Cinema Studies, or graduated from Professional Schools, and Professional Artists
– Age 18 – 35
– Fluent English
